My journey into humanitarian work is deeply personal. Growing up in Nigeria, I witnessed the harsh realities of poverty and how it prevents many people from accessing basic healthcare and opportunities for a better life.
When I was diagnosed with leukemia, I experienced firsthand how limited medical resources, wrong or delayed diagnosis, can threaten survival.
It was a difficult battle that changed my perspective forever and strengthened my resolve to help others who are facing similar challenges.
From that experience, the Human and Environmental Life Preservation and Empowerment and Relief Organization Inc. – HELPER was born.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to restore dignity and opportunity to vulnerable people and communities through health outreach, clean water initiatives, education, skills training, free distribution of sanitary pads/ menstrual kits and programs that empower women and young people.
Every act of generosity helps us reach those who need hope the most.
